On Sunday – the Lord’s Day – we come together to
  • Offer Worship, Praise, and Thanksgiving to the Lord - Psalm 95:6; Ps. 116:18; Ps. 40:3
  • Break Bread (Communion) - Ps. 40:3; Acts 2:42, 46;
  • Hear God’s Word - Ps. 40:3; 85:8; Acts 2:42
  • Fellowship with believers - Acts 2:42
We recognize Sunday, the first day of the week, as the Lord’s Day (Mark 16:1-6; John 20:19; Rev. 1:10; Acts 20:7). (Psalm 27:4).

On the Lord’s Day we gather together as His people, to worship the Lord remembering His great love and the redemptive work done for us on the cross of Calvary. We sing hymns and choruses, meditate on God’s Word, and take part in His Table (Communion) as commanded by the Lord and taught by the early apostles (Ps. 24:7; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:42, Acts 20:7; I Cor. 11:23-31). Believers are given the privilege of individually praising and thanking the Lord before partaking in the Lord’s Table (Psalm 22:2; Ps. 116:13,14; Ps. 40:3). Thus, instead of the pastor alone giving thanks for the Bread and the Cup, the participating believers are also given the privilege of offering their thanksgiving to the Lord who gave His body to be broken for them, and shed His blood for the remission of their sins. This is a wonderful experience for God’s people at the Table of the Lord on every Lord’s Day (Acts 20:7). A message of teaching and instruction from the Word of God follows.

After the service, those who can stay back participate in a fellowship-meal. We believe the church is the Household of God (Ephesians 2:19). And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them (Acts 20:7).

"Ye shall neither worship in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father …… But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." (John 4:21-23).
Prayer Meeting

East Lansing, MI: Tuesday 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Missasagua, Canada: [date] 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

"Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." Luke 11:1

"Peter therefore was kept in prison; but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him" Acts 12:5

"Watch and pray..." Matthew 26:41

D.L. Moody rightly said, “It is foolish and wicked to try to do God’s work without God’s power. But, there is no way for Christians to have God’s power except by prayer”. It can be said that prayer meetings are the backbone of the church. The last message of the Lord to his disciples was: Watch and pray (Matt. 26:41). We believe, a Christian is to pray literally about everything (John R. Rice) and that a life of prayer is necessary for understanding heavenly things (Bakht Singh). We meet for prayer once a week. In our prayer meetings we bring our needs and problems to the Lord and seek His guidance for the ministry.

"Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God" - Mark 12:24.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" - II Timothy 2:15.

Learning more of the Word of God and coming under the power thereof is our desire. Believers of different areas meet for Bible studies on different days of the week. All the Bible studies are participatory. The participants are given the privilege of sharing their thoughts and also to raise questions during the study (Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 2:15).

*The Canton's church's Bible Studies are held in a separate location in Farmington Hills, MI. Click here to see the location.

Additionally, the Canton location has Bible Studies occasionally after the service. You are welcome to come for that as well
Children's Ministry

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not" - Mark 10:14.

"And there arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel" - Judges 2:10.

"Let your children tell their children" - Joel 1:3.

"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures" - 2 Timothy 3:15.

We believe, it is extremely important for the church and the parents to take care of the spiritual needs of the children. If the Lord tarries, they are the ones who shall be Witnesses and Ministers in the next generation. Parents are exhorted to pray much for their children and teach them God’s Word. Sunday school is not a substitute for what the parents should be teaching their children.

On Sundays, children are taught the Word of God in separate rooms during our Worship Services. All the teachers, who are born-again and baptized, periodically meet for prayer and consultation.
Additional, in mid-July, we have a children's camp, where children 3-12 years old are invited to participate in learning more about God's Word. The children's camp is held for 3 days on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Thurday and Friday, the children's camp goes from 8 AM to 3 PM, with lunch provided, snacks, and games and activities. On Saturday, the children's camp runs from 8 AM to 12:30 PM, where parents are invited to come for a potluck lunch.

The camp is held at First Presbyterian Church in Farmington Hills, the same location as the Canton Bible Study. The camp is free to attend. If you are intrested in the children's camp we will post details as the date approaches. Additionally, you can contact [] for more information.
